Dual Wall Construction

  • Uses an air gap as insulation (fully vented sides, base and roof).

  • The ventilated air gap regulates and creates a stable internal temperature and allows condensation and moisture to escape.

  • The cavity vents allow moisture ingress to drain.

Sustainable materials

  • Australian certified hardwoods (not imported plywood or softwood).

  • Australian made, certified Weathertex (not glued plywoods).
    German SPAX EN ISO 3506 compliant A2 stainless steel screws (will not rust, no galvanic corrosion).

  • 100% Solar power used within our three micro-factories.

Steady Growth Tree Mounting System

  • Made using Class 1 hardwood timbers, resistant to fire and decay

  • Class 1 hardwood timbers are expected to last 40+ years above ground.

  • 2 x large SPAX corrosion resistant fixings, rated to 250kg each.

  • Safe and durable it allows for tree growth

  • *Specifications vary for custom nest boxes including XLV800R.

Estimated lifespan of 25+years

  • The design will significantly outlast a typical plywood or wooden nest box. 

  • Infinitely replaceable and repairable parts, no glues or staples are used.
