About Us

Bird Habitats was founded by Chris and Katrin McMahon in memory of our beloved daughter, Rose McMahon.

To honour Rose’s love for people, the bush, beaches, and animals, especially native birds, we are dedicated to creating meaningful connections and habitats for wildlife.

​

Our mission is to ensure that future generations can experience the beauty of biodiversity while addressing the critical need for tree hollows through our Thermal Haven Nest Boxes.

We are profoundly grateful to our caring friends and chosen family, who generously share their expertise and knowledge of the local fauna and flora, wood working, logistics, drafting and sustainable design, helping us keep Rose's legacy alive.
